COUNSELING
INTEGRATION
HEALING
When we resonate with healing energy we begin to heal; we become aware of the connection between mind, body and spirit.
When we resonate with healing conceptualizations and energy we empower the changes we need; we align and integrate.
When we resonate with our wholeness, our attitudes, choices and behaviors change. We become ‘elevated’ in our motivation, our unique clarity and self- acceptance open and deepen.
When we allow ourselves to feel and integrate these deep changes within, the vibrations become one with the sound waves of our own blossoming into speech, and we clarify through our own expressions.
When we clarify, we resonate with light; we enlighten.
Our healing becomes resonant with what we feel, discover, and empower in others so that our own stories become our beloved and sacred humanity, transgressing the past and blooming into new understandings and peaceful presence.
Graduating in 2015 with a Masters in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (7429-125) with National Certification. I specialize in depth psychotherapy with adults in multiple forms of transition, and mental health disturbance, stress management and/or past and present trauma.
Since becoming licensed I have worked in assessment for mental health concerns and substance abuse, in-home therapy with families and outpatient counseling for individuals and couples I transitioned to telehealth services in 2020. Born in 1955, my personal history is lengthy, however I can say I am a published writer/poet and a multiple grant recipient from the Wisconsin Art Board for my work; I have co-coordinated a teen center (Journey House), worked in elder care, served as a public health administrative assistant to the 200 member consortium that developed the first 4 county AIDS plan in my area and I have managed homes for people with cognitive disabilities. I am a Reiki Master and have studied healing arts and mindfulness practices for affect regulation.
My therapy practices includes counseling individuals and couples with marriage stress; anger management; substance abuse (risk reduction and recovery); women and men recovering from domestic violence situations and individuals living with Trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
My approaches include Analytical Psychology, Trauma-Informed Stabilization, Internal Family Systems work, Feminist Therapy, Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed treatment. I work hard to be multiculturally aware, and safe for clients' exploration of gender and sexual orientation.
I believe my success with client results from my effort to create empathy, trust and the comfort levels needed for individual clients to feel safe and engage fully. My acceptance of client's feelings and their unique though universal experiences, along with my own personal transparency, creates an atmosphere where we explore and eliminate a sense of being stuck in problem saturated pasts while growing self-efficacy, faith, resiliency, confidence with better coping skills for future challenges.
